NeuroCrash
Your brother was killed while working for a Megacorporation's experimental artificial intelligence system. You decide that the proper response is to destroy everything he built for the company that didn't value his life.
While it was a rough and uninspired project, I do think I hit enough unique systems to make it McTeddy-worthy.
- This dungeon is a live opponent. It's tracing you and actively deploying security to stop you.
- Highly simple gameplay that moves extremely fast and a run can be completed in a short time.
- Several unique programs that can give you information, modify your combat skills, or maintain anonymity within the cyber-dungeon.
Jam Info:
NeuroCrash is my entry to the Dungeon Crawler Jam 2026. It took about 8 days including scrapping and restarting on day 2.
The theme I picked was "Retrofuture" and I used the VR networks concept we see in Gibson-style 80s sci-fi. It's built on simple geometry and iconography.
Known Bugs:
The major one is that occasionally some items don't spawn. Nothing is required, but it's a minor annoyance.
Let's pretend it's part of the Game Master AI that controls the security placement, item shuffling, and other active opposition skills. It's apparently got more skills than I intended.
