Week 2 Update


2/16/24 Update

Bug Fixes:

  • This update fixes issues with powerups passing into walls and the mutant enemies firing invisible bullets on some maps
  • This update fixes an issue with "Zombie" enemies that respawn and continue to attack after death due to the time travel code. This both fixes some enemies being tankier than expected and randomly despawning. 
  • The spawning functionality was modified so that enemies won't spawn closer to the player due to nav mesh behaviors.
  • The time travel code was tweaked to resolve some issues with HP and wave timers.

General Changes

  • The UI was cleaned up to leave more vision for the player.
  • The player upgrade card draws were increased to 5 cards to help mitigate RNG. This feature will likely change frequently.
  • All enemies were reworked to use player weapons, gaining all the potential powers you can unlock.
  • Waves were decreased to 45 seconds from 1 minute, and more waves were added to keep the mission length similar. This allows for a slower difficulty curve in the future.
  • "Melee" weapons were also added, but they are currently enemy only until feedback is visible. 

Content Changes 

  • Two new Card types were added: "Boosts" (Temporary stat boosts) and "Aura" (Status effects to nearby enemies)
  • The City and Office have been slightly redesigned in case you want to explore more. The levels will be more utilized in the future.
  • A few new enemy types were added to allow for "Easier" enemies to appear during early waves or to dilute a hard wave with some weaker foes.
